Connecting ZodiacFX to Virtual Topology
« on: September 06, 2018, 05:56:51 PM »
Hello there,
I am developing an application for the ONOS platform, that has been tested in a "dockerized" environment, where the controller is run in a container, and mininet in another. What I am wondering is if it is possible to connect one of the mininet switches with the ZodiacFX switch. I have attached an overview of the topology, the one switch that is isolated (of:000070b3d56cdee0) is the ZodiacFX.  What I want to do is to link it to the rest of the network...
Since I am very new to this topic, maybe someone could point me in the right direction, everything helps  :)
Thank you in advance,

Christos

Hi!
 I pass the mininet script statement in python:

........................................
# Add physical interface
     info ('Defining physical interface \ n')
     intfName = 'eth1' #Important the same name of ubuntu interface ("ifconfig "you can see de name)

    info ('*** Add links \ n')
    info ('Adding interface', intfName, 'to switch', s1.name, '\ n')
    _intf = Intf (intfName, node = s1)
........................................

This works in Onos that I have tried but at the time of pinging host when there are Zodiacs the ping does not work. If the ping works, let me know. -> The post: https://forums.northboundnetworks.com/index.php?topic=1057.0
