Adding VLAN tags
« on: April 16, 2018, 07:32:56 AM »
To add VLAN tags to a port on the Zodiac FX use the command set vlan-tag <vid> tagged. For example, to add VLAN tags to the default controller port (port 4) which is in VLAN 200 enter the command set vlan-tag 200 tagged while in the config context and remember to save the config and restart. To remove tags enter set vlan-tag 200 untagged and again save and restart.

I have the Vlans like this, with port 4 in vlan 55

      VLAN ID         Name                    Type            Tag
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
        55              'controller'            Native          Tagged
        11              '11'            OpenFlow        Untagged

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can only ping zodiac with untagged interfaces, If I ping the zodiac with some interface with vlan tag 55 I donĀ“t have reponse to ping.
The tagging is not working.

Hi,

Are you able to run Wireshark (or similar) on the client that you are pinging from to confirm that the packets have the correct VLAN tags?

Regards,
Paul

Oh! I am truly sorry, you are rigth, I have solved the problem with wireshark, my network adapter was been removing VLAN tags.  I had to edit some parameters on the registry of the host of my controlller.
I have solved the issue with this https://osqa-ask.wireshark.org/questions/5996/how-to-configure-realtek-pcie-gbe-family-controller-to-capture-vlan-tag-packet

Thanks a lot.
