SNMP and NETFLOW
« on: May 17, 2017, 02:29:50 PM »
Dear from Northbound,

We have just acquired some Zodiac FX switches for an academic project.

One question, how can I collect SNMP and NETFLOW from Zodiac FX switches?

Need to collect data from snmp and netflow to after analysis, perform actions via openflow optimization.

I saw on the graphical interface that there is nothing related to snmp, how can I enable snmp for the switch? And netflow ??

Adding to the above, LLDP

The three protocols mentioned (SNMP, NETFLOW, LLDP) are fundamental in traffic and device analysis. For a research project we are developing is vital.

What would SNMP, NETFLOW, LLDP support be like on the Zodiac FX switches?

Hi,

None of the protocols you have listed are currently supported in the latest version of the firmware, however we can look into added them in a future release. That said, many of the metrics that these protocols provided in a traditional network are now available directly from the OpenFlow controller.

Regards,
Paul
