Hi,

Are you able to provide a description of your setup and the ODL config if possible so I can try and reproduce the issue?

Zodiac WX Development / Re: Kernel upgrade/downgrade
« on: May 26, 2018, 08:40:57 AM »
Sometimes when applications are updated that have kernel dependencies they are set to require the latest possible kernel version at the time. Unfortunately, as kernel updates can't be done in isolation they require a complete resync with OpenWRT and full recompile so it is not possible to create and test a new firmware release for every minor kernel release.

If it helps I'll see if we can include OVS pre-installed in the next firmware release.

Paul

Zodiac WX Development / Re: Setting up a build environment
« on: May 26, 2018, 08:31:31 AM »
The Zodiac WX is not on the OpenWRT standard device list, it is a custom device build so there won't be any pre-compiled images for it.

WARNING: If you install a firmware image other than an official Zodiac WX image there is a risk that you may damage the device and make it unusable.

Paul

Hi Densha,

I have found the easiest controller to setup up and get running quickly is RYU. If you google "Zodiac FX RYU" then you will find lots of tutorials on installing and configuring RYU with the Zodiac FX.

Zodiac FX General / Re: Can not erase Zodiac FX
« on: May 25, 2018, 07:01:25 AM »
Hi Borut,

If you run the command "factory reset" while in the config context it will return all the settings to the default. Don't forget to save and restart.

Hi,

Are you able to run Wireshark (or similar) on the client that you are pinging from to confirm that the packets have the correct VLAN tags?

Zodiac FX General / Re: Firmware update gone wrong

Hi,

If the firmware was corrupted then the only option is to erase and reflash it using SAM-BA.

Zodiac FX General / Re: Default flows preference in Zodiac FX
« on: April 26, 2018, 01:29:25 PM »
Hi,

The Zodiac FX doesn't have any default flows in OpenFlow 1.3, all flows need to be added by a controller. In OpenFlow 1.0 the default table miss action is to send the packet to the controller but even then it is not an installed flow it's a pipeline action.

Are there any other applications running on the controller i.e L2 switch, monitoring, etc.?

Regards,
Paul

Zodiac FX General / Re: Adding flow with IP_DSP match field
« on: April 24, 2018, 01:21:15 PM »
Hi,

The Zodiac FX doesn't currently display the DSCP value in the flow list but it is matching it in the flow table, I'll add it to the next update for you.

Paul

Zodiac FX General / Adding VLAN tags
« on: April 16, 2018, 07:32:56 AM »
To add VLAN tags to a port on the Zodiac FX use the command set vlan-tag <vid> tagged. For example, to add VLAN tags to the default controller port (port 4) which is in VLAN 200 enter the command set vlan-tag 200 tagged while in the config context and remember to save the config and restart. To remove tags enter set vlan-tag 200 untagged and again save and restart.

Hi Carlos,

Can you please send an email to support@northboundnetworks.com and I'll see what we can do by turning off the port stats updates.
