Title: Adding Meter Entries/QoS
Post by: smatt241 on August 23, 2016, 09:41:59 PM
Hi all,

Are meter entries (OpenFlow 1.3) supported with the Zodiac (v. 0.64) as I cannot seen to get them working with the switch (using the Ryu controller).

I have tried to add a simple meter entry using the following REST call:

curl -X POST -d '{
    "dpid": XXXXXXXXXXXXXX,
    "flags": "KBPS",
    "meter_id": 1,
    "bands": [
        {
            "type": "DROP",
            "rate": 1000
        }
    ]
}' http://localhost:8080/stats/meterentry/add

which returns "OK 200".

I then go to verify the entry registration with:

curl -X GET http://localhost:8080/stats/meterconfig/XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

which does not return the meter entry previously added.

Any help would be appreciated!

Matt

Hi Matt,

Sorry meters are not quite finished yet, hopefully soon.

Hi Paul,
I am very new to here.
I have already bought two zodiac, and am planning to buy 2 more.
I study QoS issues on SDN. As you guess, I am looking forward to metering support. I want to learn whether there is too much work remaining for metering support, or not.

Good to be here..
Thanks.

huseyin.

Hi Huseyin,

Because of the complexity I have left meters to last, but I am hoping to have the last of the OpenFlow 1.3 features finished in the next 4-6 weeks (if not sooner  :-X).

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Greetings for the day,

Does this meter feature available in Ryu's 'ofctl_rest' now ?
